SPH Mobile Kit
A handheld thermal inkjet coder, built around the Smart Printhead
Some things never go down a conveyor: a pallet, a drum, a carton at the back of the warehouse. The SPH Mobile Kit turns your Smart Printhead into a battery-powered handheld coder, so you can mark them where they sit.
How it works
- 1Fit the Smart Printhead. The kit has no printhead of its own: your Smart Printhead mounts into it and does the printing.
- 2Set up the message. Load messages by USB, or edit them from the NexLink app (Android) over the optional WiFi Dongle. The Smart Printhead stores 1,000+ messages and keeps three pinned for quick switching, shown on its LED bar.
- 3Pull the trigger and sweep. A built-in encoder reads how fast the head moves across the surface, so a hand-swept code doesn’t stretch or squash.
What you can print
Text, logos and shapes; dates, expiration dates, shifts and counters; barcodes including ITF-14, DUN-14, SSCC-18, Code 128 and EAN/UPC; and 2D codes including QR, Data Matrix and GS1 Data Matrix. Up to 600 × 600 dpi at ½".
Inks
The same Odyssey ½" cartridges the Smart Printhead runs on the line. Odyssey water-based ink for cartons and corrugate; Odyssey solvent ink for non-porous surfaces such as plastic or metal drums. Tell us the surface and we’ll match the ink.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Mobile Kit include a printer?
No. It’s a handheld body for the Anser Smart Printhead, which does the printing. You need a Smart Printhead to use it.
Is the battery included?
No. Battery shipping rules mean you buy a Bosch GBA 18V 2A battery and a Bosch GAL 18V-40 charger locally. Both are standard cordless-tool parts.
How long does a charge last?
At least 4 hours of working time per charge.
What warranty does it carry?
The Mobile Kit carries a 1-year warranty. The Smart Printhead inside it carries its own 5-year warranty, honored by TPS.
Can I edit messages from my phone?
Yes, from the NexLink app on Android, over the optional WiFi Dongle. You can also load messages by USB.
