Choose your printhead by print height — 1/2" or 1". Both sizes run on the Anser X1 and the X1 Lite. The 1/2" Smart Printhead runs HP and IUT cartridge technologies; the 1" printheads run IUT, Brady, and DHI. Match the height to how the code has to be read, and we’ll match the technology to your ink and substrate.

A full inch of print height in a single pass — for big codes read at a distance, stacked lot numbers over barcodes/logos, or a taller GS1 2D Data Matrix. The 1" bulk printhead pairs with the 160 mL cartridge for the 1" 160 mL High-Volume System (longest runs, fewest changeovers). On the Anser X1, two 1" heads can be stitched for a ~2" print height (48.7 mm / 1.92").

The standard print height for everyday date and lot codes on cartons, cases, and packaging — and our 1/2" head is Anser’s Smart Printhead (SPH). It is self-contained, with its own message engine and web console, and stitches up to four heads when you need a taller band — 2" (50 mm), or 4" (100 mm) on 1" heads. Lower ink use for high-volume, small-code jobs.
Anser’s standard printhead for the X1 Lite, for straightforward date, lot and batch coding. It takes both 0.5" and 1" Odyssey cartridges, so one head covers the standard code and the taller one without a changeover. Pair it with the X1 Lite when you don’t need the 160 mL bulk system.
Anser printheads support HP, IUT, Brady, and DHI technologies. These are the underlying printhead/cartridge technologies — NOT sizes and NOT separate products. Not every technology is offered in every print height: the 1/2" Smart Printhead runs HP and IUT, while the 1" printheads run IUT, Brady, and DHI. You choose your printhead by print height (1/2" or 1"); we match the right technology to your ink and substrate. (So "IUT" is a technology option, never a print size.)
A screenless, self-contained coder that embeds into tight machinery — no controller cables, which also makes robotic-arm integration practical. Runs from a browser web console or the NexLink app.
